The farm BALTIERI ANDREA consists of 19 hectares and it extends on the hill on which Viticcio dei Ronchi is situated; it is the fruit of a long experience and of an ongoing search for the best result.
The calcareous nature of the ground allows roots to stetch and find the right humidity and nutrition for the vine. The climate is ideal for the growing of vines, as it is sunny and mild;

the sun exposure helps give good ripening conditions to the grapes, also thanks to the good sun radiation. We grow local varities such as La Corvina, Il Corvinone, La Rondinella, l'Oseletta; all these vines are unique and essential to produce the wines typical of this area. We grow the vines with a well-balanced Guyot system, in order to increase the density of cultivation, while reducing the harvest per hectar.

The dedication to the growing is a clear expression of the care for the vine and for nature; that's why procedures like the pruning, thinning and selection of the bunches of grapes are all carried out with great attention to the plant. The quality of a good wine depends first of all on the vineyard. The cellar is only the place where ancient culture and modern techniques meet, where wines are produced and ripe, where flavours and scents are defined to become an excellent product.

For the fermentation and preservation of the wines it is necessary to use stainless steel tanks, along with barriques for the refinement.
But the first ingredient to make a good wine in Viticcio dei Ronchi is Andrea's passion; he transforms the job of vine dresser into something else: a reason of proud and deep respect for nature.
